Newfoundland Big Game Moose Hunts- Northern Peninsulas Main River

The original “Arluk Tilt Lodge” was built 40 years ago. The Tilt has been operated as a well established Moose hunting lodge for over 15 years. Over the last several years our lodge and area that surrounds it has only hosted 6-12 Moose hunts per year creating the opportunity at trophy class mature bulls. With the vision of providing an unforgettable hunt for our guests and taking care of our moose population, we limit the number of our hunts each year ensuring a stable population creating the potential at true Newfoundland trophy moose. While not every moose you see will be a trophy, we ensure you they are around! (All Moose photos on this site were taken after the last guests of the 2025 hunting season finished)

While the original “Tilt” is still being used to house our guides, we have constructed a spacious 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom main lodge to increase the comfort and enjoyment of our guests.

What We Offer

• Main Lodge Hunts: New 5-Bedroom 3-Bathroom Lodge:

  After a day in the field, return to a cozy, modern lodge with sleeping for up to 8 guests. Amenities include warm communal areas, full kitchen, hot showers, Wifi, gear storage, and private rooms with separate guides cabins. Main lodge hunts are Ideal for guests that are looking for a great hunting trip with comfort not spared.

• Spike Camp/Tent Hunts:

  These hunts are for people that are looking for a trophy focused Moose hunt. Starting and ending your day in prime locations that provide access to unpressured hunting areas.

• Remote Areas: With only helicopter access to our lodge and tent locations, we reach areas with no local hunting pressure, giving us higher success rates.

• Guided hunts, with trophy potential: Professional guides with Newfoundland experience will put you on moose. Ideal for experienced hunters seeking a chance at a trophy and for newcomers wanting structured, confident guidance.
